8.7.2009a long time gone

I wanted to make an update here, explaining why there hasn't been a post for some time or why Pennis 2008 has yet to be released. Back in February, my partner of the last 3 years had broke up with me, forcing me to move back into my parents house. In that time, I have been refined to an old computer with which I couldn't really do anything, and I haven't had the internet.

That has changed now, as I have bought a new computer, which I will be setting up within the next few days, and as you can see... I have the internet. As a result, as soon as the new computer is set, I will start work on Pennis once more, with an aim to release it shortly.

31.12.2008final day of the year

As you can see, it is the final day of the year 2008 and Pennis has yet to be released. Sorry about that. I still haven't gotten around to finishing the menu and the music, and the release is looking to be early next year some time. Hopefully before the end of January if everything goes right. The game will still be named Pennis 2008, but when I update the game to fix any bugs and so forth, i'll just change it to 2009, whilst adding a feature here or there.

Well, until then. Adios.

9.10.2008a new table, a new screenshot

Console RoomWell, here is the first screenshot of the new version of Pennis. As you can see, the resolution has been put up to 640x480, allowing for a much better game experience and some much better graphics. Everything in the game is bigger and better. The game modes are better, as you now have a proper single-player mode, there are various paddles to play with, all with different attributes, and the game is generally faster and smoother to play.

When will it be coming out? It should be soon. At least I hope so.

8.10.2008gone has the old goat

It has been a long time since I have done anything with this website, and seeing as that is the case, I'm still a bit surprised to see that my games are still getting the occasional download. It's good to know that there are people out there in the crazy place called the internet that will even bother to download my games, let alone play them.

I find it funny though, that checking on the AGS website, and taking a look at the comments left about one of my games, someone complains that there was no warning of foul language... even though it is clearly marked on the page itself that the game contains 'strong language'. That's just really irritating.

As you might be able to see, the site has had an entirely new design built. Out is the old 'tdr goat' logo and design that went with it and a new one has been made. I think it kind of makes the site a little bit more professional looking... but I do miss the old goat.

You may be thinking: what is on the agenda for tdrDESIGN? Are you making a new game? Well...

I'm currently on the final phases of developing a new game, which is a sequel to Pennis. The game, Pennis 2008, will include a fair few new features, and it is much more expanded than what the original game was in terms of gameplay. The only thing I have left to do is the menus, and a little bit for the single player mode i've included in this one. Once that little bit is done, the first release will be put online. Any bugs and glitches that myself or others find will be fixed in the next release of the game, and this release will also see the full soundtrack be added as I haven't finished all the music, but there is still a fair amount there.

Over the next few days, I will be adding more to the site in anticipation of the release of Pennis. Stay tuned!
